I already done a post similar to this but think it’s such an important one, and something everyone needs to remember. And some things I have seen recently have just proved it to me some much more.
I saw a video about a little girl who has been fighting a long hard battle against cancer, and along her battle she made a friend who helped her through it and provide her with that support. Unfortunately her friend lost her battle but this little girl was determined to carry on fighting and get through her battle, she also loved to dance.
But getting back to dance was a battle of its own, as she had unfortunately lost her leg due to the cancer. This wasn’t going to stop her though and she fought and worked so hard, and went to dance classes, joined in and didn’t give up.
There was another girl who went through a similar thing and, was fighting a battle against cancer and lost her leg. But wanted to dance again and she wasn’t going to let this illness stop her. She had a special operation and had a special prostatic leg made, which allowed her to go onto pointe.
I think these two girls are such amazing people and such inspirations to so many out there, to just show you that yes things don’t always go the way you think or hoped for, but that doesn’t mean you should give up.
This is something I always tell people and always tell my younger sisters, that if you want something and have a dream go for it. You will most defiantly have things come along and slow you down, but don’t give up on it ever. I say to my sisters as long as that dream isn’t too impossible you can make it happen if you want it, and don’t let anything stop you.
I have been fighting for my dream to for a while now and have had a few hurdles appear in my tracks, but I just have to get over that hurdle and once I’m over brush it off and keep on going. I am determined to follow my dream to dance and have my company, and no illness is going to stop me or get in the way, it will only be a hurdle along the way that I will be able to get over.
So just remember that there are people out there who hit some really tough hurdles in their life, but they managed to pick themselves up and carry on. Just like the two girls who had a horrible illness, and lost a leg through it but didn’t let it stop them and they went on to keep fighting for what they loved.
Never let those little things in life stop you in your tracks, just let it slow you down a bit along the way!
